During Faith Week Over 40 Organizations and Thousands of Faith Leaders Urge Congress to Pass the Dream Act

From October 29-November 4, people of faith across the country were Praying with Dreamers and showing our support for the Dream Act.

The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) will end on March 5. Every day that passes without congressional action means more suffering, anxiety and fear in the lives of Dreamers, their families, and our communities. Legislative solutions like the Dream Act allow us to fulfill our shared faith calling to love our neighbor – which is why we are calling on Congress to act immediately. Dreamers are our neighbors, and their home is here in the U.S. – we hope that you will join us this week to express our support for Dreamers and work to pass protections into law.

As one aspect of this week, every day we sent letters of support from leading faith-based organizations urging Congress to take up a legislative solution immediately. Throughout the week we sent over 40 letters representing hundreds of faith-based organizations, agencies, and communities, and millions of faithful people across the United States.
